According to ABC 6 Action News in New Jersey, a commercial truck accident shut down Route 896 in Newark on June 5. The tanker rolled over following the single-vehicle accident at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The vehicle was overturned on a Southbound I-95 off ramp to Southbound 896. Police identified the driver of the truck as 58 year-old Percy Green of Willingboro. Investigators said Green appeared to misjudge the ramp and the angle of the turn. Police determined that Green was traveling at an unsafe speed at the time of the commercial truck accident. After the tractor-trailed overturned, the diesel fuel tank sustained damage and approximately 150 gallons of fuel spilled on the highway. Crews shut down the highway for several hours and police issued Green a citation for traveling at an unsafe speed.

According to SunLive.com News in New Jersey, police are still investigating the cause of a fatal car accident that occurred on June 7. The car accident occurred at approximately 11 p.m. near the intersection of State Highway 1 and Racecourse Road in Cambridge. The car accident resulted in a single fatality, possibly a wrongful death. Leo Tooman, an investigator with the Waikato Police Department, said they are still investigating the cause of the car accident. Tooman believes driver fatigue may have been a factor. “At this stage, initial indications are a northbound Mitsubishi Triton utility has crossed the centerline into the path of a southbound truck and trailer unit,” Tooman initially told reporters. Investigators are still looking into the fatal car accident, but have found some evidence to support the theory that driver fatigue may have been a factor in what resulted in a possible wrongful death. “If that proves…
